Empty ink pad Tim Holtz DIY Distress Oxide Ink Pad, for oxide inks. Use 2-3 colors of oxide inks (re-inkers) Distress Oxide Re-inkers and apply them directly onto the pad. Ranger - Tim Holtz - Distress Oxides oxide inks combine the properties of pigment inks and dye-based inks. As pigment inks, they can be used on many surfaces - light and dark - for a bright opaque impression. At the same time, they can blend like dye-based inks. The inks are quite "wet" and opaque, and can be used for embossing. They give a crisp, detailed impression that becomes much brighter after spraying it with water (this is a distinctive feature of Oxides inks compared with other types!). When applying inks of different colors, they do not turn muddy and are applied in layers; the result resembles chalk ink, but the impression does not smudge.
