Hello and welcome! We are the hearts and hands behind ScrapUA – Katya and Tanya. You may already know us, or maybe this is our first meeting through ScrapUA.com :). Either way, we are thrilled to meet you, chat with you, and share our love for creativity!

Let’s start with a little secret – we are scrapbookers ourselves! (Newbies, don’t worry about that tricky word – soon it will roll off your tongue, and husbands might be in for a little cultural shock!) :)

How we fell in love with scrapbooking

Scrapbooking entered our lives relatively recently – in the autumn of 2009 (hard to believe, right?). We stumbled upon it by chance, and, like all passionate scrapbookers, we were hooked instantly. To this day, we can’t tear ourselves away!

Our journey is proof that anyone can embrace scrapbooking successfully.

Tanya, a natural craftswoman, has always stitched, knitted, decoupaged, and painted. Scrapbooking became her ultimate passion, and her creative instincts helped her find her unique style quickly.

Katya, on the other hand, had never really considered herself “artistic” (cross-stitching during pregnancy doesn’t count!). Scrapbooking opened a new world where she could express herself and “create without being able to draw.” Trust someone who struggles to draw even a little flower with a 2-year-old by her side – scrapbooking is fun, easy, and accessible for everyone!

In short, we’ve been in the scrap world for nearly 9 years now, and we’re not going anywhere!

How our store came to life

The idea for our store came naturally. There came a moment when we wanted this and that, but the local scrap stores either had “out of stock” signs or didn’t carry the items at all. That’s when the magic words were spoken: “What if we had a store of our own?”

And now here you are :)

We have a small favor to ask: “We are not wizards, we’re just learning” :) So if you ever have any suggestions, comments, or feedback about our store, please share them with us. We promise to do our best to make your experience as enjoyable and convenient as possible!

The value of friendship

We say “we” with ease, because we have been friends for what feels like a century :) We share so much: the university we attended, two years of living together in a rented apartment, children of the same age, a passion for scrapbooking, and above all, a strong bond of friendship. We hope this “energy” helps create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our store. And we wish you plenty of loyal and genuine friends to walk with you through life.
